My first experience with academic research came as a computer science graduate student, where I was investigating the use of intelligent multimedia for educational software. A few years after graduating, I moved to Thailand and was fascinated by the culture and language that surrounded me. As a way to help myself learn Thai, I created a website and mobile apps to teach Thai to English speakers. This experience led me to want to learn more about language and language education, so I enrolled in and eventually finished a PhD in Applied Linguistics at KMUTT. Now, I am an instructor at KMUTT and a member of TARG where I am able to pursue research in the use of computers for analyzing and learning languages.
